It is a run of the river scheme on river Yamuna. It envisages construction of a 39 m long barrage to divert 18.0 cumecs of water. The water will be fed to a power house through 17 km long 2.5 m diameter tunnel.
Barrage is proposed to be constructed across river Yamuna 10 km downstream of Barkot town. Catchment area is 1040 sq.km out of which about 110 sq.km is snow bound.
