It envisages construction of a barrage 26m long on Yamuna river in Barkot Tehsil of Uttarkashi District. 13.0 cumecs of water will be diverted through a 6.0 km long tunnel of 2.5 m diameter to a surface power house of 33 MW installed capacity to utilize a gross head of 325 metre. It will generate 156.31 x 106 KWH at 34.40 paise per unit.
